Saturday Sharing: SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival

creativity and Happiness SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival

Every spring, for the past 30 years, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) has held an annual Sidewalk Arts Festival.

SCAD Sidewalk Arts FestivalThis year, as in many years past, it was held in the famous and beautiful Forsyth Park, located in the heart of Savannah’s historic district.

SCAD students, alumni and prospective students compete in the theme based sidewalk art competition, while thousands of visitors look on.

What’s so special about this year’s event (besides the fact it was a sunny, dry, 80 degree day)? I was lucky enough to attend! And, in a spirit keeping with my vacation, which I am still on, I’m filling the rest this post with photos from the event. Enjoy!
